Stormcloud Brewing Production Facility
Bulldozers and backhoes broke ground in January 2017 at the future site of Stormcloud’s beer production facility.
Located on the east side of the city of Frankfort, the 12,700-square-foot facility will house a 20-barrel brewhouse with the capacity to brew 4,500 barrels of beer per year. Currently, Stormcloud's downtown Frankfort brewery has the capacity to brew 1,200 barrels annually.
The new facility will provide space to install an automated canning line for the purpose of canning a select handful of our best-selling brews for distribution. We also plan to hand-bottle a selection of our traditional Belgian ales in small quantities.
The facility will also include a public tasting room and retail outlet, but those components will NOT open this summer. When construction is complete, our primary focus is to brew more beer. Production at the new facility is scheduled to begin summer 2017.
In February 2017, Team Elmer's let the concrete pour to create foundational footings for the new brewery. Foundation work was completed in March 2017 and in early April, concrete wall panels were delivered and carefully set into place. Roof construction followed, in addition to block masonry for the building entry and offices.
Here's a timelapse video of the construction as of April 28, 2017.
