Meet The Newest Member Of The Brew Crew: Maddie

Originally from Ypsilanti, Michigan, Maddie joined our brew crew, at the production facility, back in June as our brewery intern. She has since accepted a full-time gig with us as a brewer and cellar worker! (We’re stoked to have her!) She already has her first batch of beer hitting the taps soon. (Keep an eye out for a Belgian Brown on the menu.)  Let’s get to know her a little better—

What's your favorite part about working for Stormcloud?
Too many things to name! I love the culture and community that surrounds Stormcloud, the people it brings together, and the loyal guests you see time and time again. I really appreciate how much care goes into crafting our beer and the commitment to keeping the quality always top notch. Stormcloud has such a hardworking, passionate crew and I’m honored to be surrounded by such amazing people!

What is your favorite past or present Stormcloud beer?

What's an interesting fact about yourself that you want the world to know?
I’ve somehow managed to turn my love of science, nutrition, and beer into a career. Still trying to figure out if that makes me a scientist, a dietitian, or just really good at drinking beer.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working at the ‘Cloud?
Cruisin' on my longboard and going to shows!

What's your favorite part about living in Northern Michigan?
Between always being a block from the water, finding impeccable camping spots, running into friendly faces, and being surrounded by good beer - there's never a bad day to be had in Northern Michigan!

What's your favorite quote or a piece of advice that has stuck with you?
“Go jump in the lake.”
